The Ag. Director General of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA), Lawyer Abraham Amaliba paid a working visit to the newly appointed Ag. Chief Executive of the Ghana Highway Authority, Surv. Mallam Issah Ishak, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the two (2) institutions.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the GHA Head office, focused on enhancing road safety measures and improving infrastructure to minimize road accidents.
The discussions covered road maintenance strategies, issues of pedestrian and driver indiscipline, unauthorized speed tables, and the emerging trend of digital billboards on our networks, along with potential regulatory measures.

Ag. Chief Executive of GHA, giving his remarks, welcomed the engagement and assured the NRSA of the Authority’s dedication to ensuring high quality road infrastructure that aligns with national road safety objectives.
Both leaders agreed on the continuous stakeholder engagement and pledged to explore innovative solutions to enhance road safety.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthening inter-agency collaboration and implementing policies aimed at minimizing accidents and improving travel safety nationwide.
