GHA CONSIDERS A PAPERLESS SYSTEM

Going paperless is generally seen as a move in the right direction as organisations attempt to keep up with software advancements.

The MIS Division of GHA, as part of integrating the paperless system into our day-to-day operations, organised a brief presentation on E-Correspondence Management System to the Directorate, Divisional Heads and Managers of the Authority.

The Ag. Chief Executive, Ing. Christian Nti, in his opening remarks, noted that indeed the move to paperless operations is a step in the right direction and admonished all to embrace the innovation.

The Ag. Director of MIS, Mr. Foster Lelekele who is spearheading this initiative, reiterated the advantages of adopting a paperless system. He said the old system leads to inefficiencies, loss or duplication of documents. Mr. Lelekele added that a paperless system will help minimize wastage and reduce operational costs i.e., cut down expenses on toners, A4 sheets, etc.

A demonstration on the E-Correspondence Management System platform was later presented by two Freelance developers.

In his concluding remarks, Ing. Christian Nti proposed that another session should be organised with more focus on the practical aspects and also consider implementing it on a pilot basis to evaluate its efficiency.
