The atmosphere at the Head Office was nothing short of vibrant as the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), on Friday, 27th March 2026, brought a grand close to the National Heritage Month. Under the theme "Connecting Ghana: Ghana’s Road, Ghana’s Pride," the Heritage Week celebrations reached a historic climax last Friday.
A Celebration of Culture
In a first-of-its-kind event for the Authority, the Ag. Chief Executive, Mallam Issah Ishak accompanied by his Deputies; Ing. L.L.L. Lamptey, Ing. Paul Y.A.P. Duah and Ing. Patrick Okoto formally opened the festivity to showcase the best of Ghanaian culture.
Spearheaded by the Public Affairs Division, the event saw members of staff gathering in their numbers, beautifully adorned in diverse traditional outfits.


The Tarmac was transformed into a cultural hub featuring, Local Food Bazaar & Bar. Members of staff enjoyed a delicious variety of local dishes and traditional drinks

The day was filled with traditional music and a lively 360-photo booth to capture the colourful displays of "Wearing Ghana".



Expanding Our Fleet: New Coastal Buses Inaugurated
Beyond the cultural activities, the Ag. Chief Executive used the momentous occasion to further the Authority’s operational efficiency. He officially commissioned two additional coastal buses, expanding GHA’s existing fleet to better serve members of staff needs.


To mark the inauguration, the Ag. Chief Executive, his Deputies, and several members of staff took an inaugural ride on the new buses, symbolizing our commitment to moving forward together as a united agency
