23 newly employed engineers of the Ghana Highway Authority have undergone an administrative seminar as part of procedures to be fully inducted as Assistant Engineers of the Authority. The 4-day seminar was organized to enable participants get an understanding of the operations of the divisions in the Administrative Department of the Authority.
Background
Prior to the seminar, the engineers in training were taken through a thorough 23-months induction training where trainees got a hand on practical in all the engineering divisions. After successful training, they go for a pre-posting interview before they are finally posted to the various divisions within the Head Office and Highway Regional Offices across the country.
The Ag. Dy. Chief Executive, in charge of Administration, Ing. Samual Akuako, who co-chaired the seminar with the Dy. Chief Executive (Mcte), Ing. L.L. Lamptey, admonished the fresh engineers to maintain a positive attitude, be truthful, hardworking, and innovative in their line of work.
Delivering the closing remarks, Ing. L.L. Lamptey expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the resource persons, organizers of the training and urged the engineers to focus on self-development by reading extensively to broaden their knowledge and apply it where needed.
The fresh engineers, with excitement, received certificates for undergoing the training and expressed their appreciation to the management for the opportunity and honour done to them.
