On Thursday, 10th of October, 2024, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, DVLA, extended its licensing services program to members of staff of the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA), Ministries and Agencies nearby.
his exercise forms part of the Authority’s mandate to ensure good driving standards and promote the use of roadworthy vehicles on our roads.
The Senior Corporate Affairs Officer of DVLA, Mrs. Thelma Botwe said in an interview that the community outreach program was designed to bring services to the doorstep of its customers. “This is a DVLA Community Outreach Program designed to bring our services to the doorstep of our customers and educate them on some of the reforms and innovations the Authority has implemented over the years”, she noted.

Services offered in the DVLA Express Mobile Services (DEMOBS) include the renewal of driver’s license, issuance of international driving permit, replacement missing driver’s license and issuance of international vehicle permit.
The rest are replacement of expired driver’s license, conversion of foreign driver’s license and upgrading of driver’s license.
he DEMOBS were thrilled with their Community Outreach Program, citing its ease and closeness.
During the 2-day program, the team from DVLA successfully attended to more than fifty (50) customers. Once the licenses are ready,it would be made available at the Public Affairs of GHA for collection.
The ongoing Mobile Sales Stand, rolled out in September this year, is a Public Affairs division led initiative implemented under Management’s directive and it would run through to the end of October 2024.
