On Wednesday, 5th November 2025, the people of Sawla witnessed a memorable moment of progress and renewed hope, as H.E. John Dramani Mahama, in the company of the Minister of Roads and Highways, the Deputy Minister and officials from the Ministry and its agencies visited the community to officially cut the sod for the commencement of a major development project on the Wenchi-Sawla-Wa road.
